Our history

Nadeau Poultry Farm Ltd. is a family business founded by Mr. Louis-Philippe Nadeau in 1942. It started with only 400 chicks. In 1945, Mr. Nadeau built his first henhouse while having two clients who have remained loyal to him over the years. Nadeau Poultry Farm Ltd., As well as its first slaughterhouse, opened in 1953. Since then, Nadeau Poultry Farm Ltd. has become a flagship in poultry processing. Focused on quality, Nadeau Poultry Farm Ltd. processes and supplies poultry products to a diverse clientele including major chain stores and restaurants in the Maritimes, Quebec and Ontario. In 1989, Nadeau Poultry Farm Ltd. was purchased by Maple Lodge Farms Ltd. which has kept close proximity to the community of Saint-François. Over the years, several developments have taken place such as the construction of a wastewater treatment plant, the modernization of the production line and the improvement of employee rest areas. The company continues to expand in order to always meet the needs of its customers and maintain its involvement in the community. Today, Nadeau Poultry Farm Ltd., Maple Lodge Group is a major player in the poultry industry in Canada.
